Sunday Munch this weekend

SHOPPERS can look forward to the return of the Sunday Munch market this weekend to buy hand-crafted produce and locally grown and made produce.

The event is on Sunday in the Market Place, Hinckley from 10am until 2pm.

The Sunday Munch is managed by East Midlands Markets and Events (EMME) in partnershi­p with Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council . It supports a mix of local food and drink producers, artists, crafts people and local community groups.

In addition there will be stalls for recycled goods ie upcycled furniture, vintage, retro and collectabl­es alongside street food stalls making it an ideal place to browse on a lazy Sunday.

Sallie Hooper from EMME said “We want the local community to help us to develop a market which supports everything that is good in and around Hinckley, not only a place to buy unique products but to find out about local initiative­s and get involved.”

A special Merry Munch will also take place on Sunday December 16 from 10am to 4pm in Market Place with a range of local stalls taking part and you will even be able to browse the market with a mug of warming mulled wine or cider.

Stall holders attending November’s Sunday Munch so far include:

Fowlers Cheese, Outdoor Ornaments, Ginger Barista, Kipsters Dog Bis- cuits, Forever Living, Brockleby’s Pies, R Morris Eggs, Eleris Welshcakes, 19 Gales Pies, Jewellery Jams ‘n Jars, Sue’s Cakes, Picks Organic Farm, Nick the Fish, Malaysian Cakes, Dobson’s Delhi, The Laser People, Event Crepes, Card & Jewellery, Acropolis Olives, Two Oaks Woodcraft, Eatfresh Burgers, Painting Perfect, Woodland Planters, Upcycled Furniture, Brownies, Homemade Fudge, Watercolou­rs, Leics/Rutland Wildlife.

Parking is FREE in all town centre council operated car parks on Sundays.
