Building society donation for good causes

-

EARL Shilton Building Society is donating £450 to two good causes.

The society made an extra contribution to the £105.40 raised for Stroke Association and the £123.60 raised for LOROS Hospice through the AGM donation scheme, to create the total.

Paul Tilley, chief executive of esbs, said: “We are delighted to be supporting these charities, both of which play crucial roles for the individuals and families that they help.”

Magdalena Korytkowska, partnership development lead at LOROS, said: “We would like to say a massive thank you to Earl Shilton Building Society and its members for supporting the care we’ve provided to 2,500 patients and their family members this year.

“The donation of £205 that we are going to receive is equivalent to the cost of meals for a day for 41 patients.

“Thank you so much for the difference you have made.”

Last year Age UK Leicestershire and Rutland and Anthony Nolan were selected to receive the donations.

esbs also provides support to good causes through its ‘In the community’ fund.

Any local group based in the LE, CV9 to 13 and DE11 to 15 postcode areas interested in benefitting from the fund can apply via the society’s website.
