Business coach gains top award for his work

-

A FORMER electrical engineer based in Burbage has been recognised as one of the world’s top business coaches.

Mark Jennings achieved platinum status from ActionCOACH with one Nuneaton client seeing their net profits increase by 360 per cent since he started with them in 2013.

The entrepreneur made his first million in five years and coached his portfolio of clients so well that on average they doubled their net profits in 2017.

He won Coach of the Year for the Central Midlands at both the 2017 and 2018 UK ActionCOACH Awards, achieving platinum status puts Mark in the top six most successful ActionCOACHes out of the 230 franchises nationwide.

More than three quarters of his clients have been with him for over three years, including two winners of ActionCOACH’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year, an award reserved for the very best in start-up growth across its clients in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Mr Jennings was previously an electrical engineer and then an operations director, travelling the UK running large-scale distribution operations for the likes of Tesco, Argos and Nestle.

He coaches three days a week and is on course to be made a Global Mastercoach, meaning he can train other franchise owners worldwide.

He said: “If you’d told me seven years ago I’d be where I am today, having never sold anything other than a secondhand car and a motorbike, I’d never have believed it.

“One of the reasons I am successful is that I went into this franchise with a lot of the same frustrations as my clients.

“I needed more time with my family and wanted to achieve life goals, but didn’t know how to make it happen.

“My training and experience with ActionCOACH has given me a whole new perspective, which I pass on to my clients while giving them the strategies they need to make more on the bottom line.”

The business expert helped his wife start her own business while still having time to take his daughter horse riding and watch her doing things other parents miss out on.

He’s also found time himself to cycle 62 of the top 100 highest peaks in the French Alps and raised more than £250,000 for Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

James Vincent, managing director of ActionCOACH UK, said: “It is in recognition of the sheer amount of business Mark is generating, client results and retention.

“Long may his success continue.”
