Show will steal your laughs when it visits
NOTTINGHAM and Leicester will both be welcoming an Olivier Awardnominated West End hit to the stage when Mischief’s The Comedy About A Bank Robbery plays at Nottingham’s Theatre Royal this month and at Leicester’s The Curve in March 2019.
After a successful run in London, the touring production brings together big West End names such as Seán Carey, David Coomber and Julia Frith as they bring to life the tale of a thief who will stop at nothing to get his hands on a priceless diamond.
Set in the summer of 1958, Minneapolis City Bank has been trusted to take care of a diamond so large and precious that it’s priceless.
However, an escaped convict and his girlfriend have other plans for the gem, as do, it appears, those who should be trusted most.
Speaking of the impressive cast who will be heading across the country, producer Kenny Wax said: “We are so delighted to announce the cast for this UK tour of The Comedy About a Bank Robbery and we are thrilled that this production follows hard on the heels of the sold out tour of The Play That Goes Wrong.
“Audiences are in for another hilarious treat and we salute Mischief for having written another wonderfully funny play.”
The Comedy About A Bank Robbery will play at Nottingham’s Theatre Royal for four shows between September 25 and 27. Tickets cost between £17.50 and £31.50 plus a booking fee. The touring production will then hit Leicester’s The Curve for seven shows between March 26 and March 30. Tickets are priced at £10 to £35 plus a booking fee.
