Pancakes at the ready for some flippin’ good fun

-

ENTRIES from schools, businesses and individuals have already been coming in for Hinckley BID’s fliptastic annual FREE Pancake Day race.

The ever-popular BID event, which is in its ninth year, will be held on Shrove Tuesday, March 5, starting near Britannia Centre on Castle Street, Hinckley.

Starting at 12 noon prompt, the event will see people of all ages and abilities race up Castle Street towards Church Walk while demonstrating their catching skills as they flip their pancakes.

The event, which is free to take part in, always promises to be great fun for both pancake racers and spectators alike. Last year’s event saw hundreds of spectators line Castle Street to watch.

Steve Wegerif, from the Hinckley BID, said: “We are starting to get really excited for our ninth Pancake Day race. It’s always fun to watch - there are plenty of laughs to be had! - and great to see so many schools, individuals and businesses take part.

We are still looking for more people to enter, so if you’re up for a good laugh, get in touch for an application form, grab yourselves a frying pan and join in the fun!”

Entry to the event is open to businesses, families, individuals and schools. Call Hinckley BID on 01455 698494 or email info@ hinckleybid.co.uk for an application form.
