-

A BRAZEN thief stole a mobile phone from an office in Hinckley.

Two men entered S&L Personnel on Coventry Road and started loudly asking questions while pointing to pieces of paper that they were holding.

One of them went over to a desk and used the paper to cover his other hand while he picked up a worker’s phone.

The men were described as having thick foreign accents.

They were in the premises for about a minute.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said with regard to the incident: “We received a report and enquiries are ongoing.”

At around the same time at nearby Essentials Beauty and Health Clinic on Northfield Road, a similar incident happened.

Two men came into the shop and walked through the reception into the kitchen area before a member of staff confronted them.

Employees said the men spoke with foreign accents and were holding pieces of paper with foreign writing on them.

They were asked to leave and at first did not comply but eventually they left the building.

Workers at the clinic said that nothing was taken and that they did not report the incident to the police.
