Travel firm set to bring all-star team to Leicester Road in May

-

HINCKLEY’S Leicester Road FC has landed a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work with major blue chip company Jet2holidays.

And to celebrate the burgeoning relationship between the football club and Jet2holidays (in conjunction with Independent Travel Agent – Holiday Lounge) the LRFC board, management and first team squad were invited to East Midlands Airport - where it has one of its nine UK hubs - to check out one of their impressive passenger planes.

As a full and leading corporate sponsor, Jet2 Holidays see the commercial benefits of numerous pitch side boards around the Leicester Road Stadium, another on LRFC’s new club house, plus ongoing marketing opportunities – and the relationship has seen both business and awareness grow in and around Hinckley for Leicester Road Football Club, Holiday Lounge and of course Jet2holidays.

The holiday and airline operator also managed to secure their logo on the front of the first team shirts this season - after being entered in to the club’s annual shirt draw.

Trade Sales Manager, Zoe Grkinic said: “This sponsorship with a difference really builds awareness in the local and regional community of the mutually supportive relationship between Jet2holidays, Holiday Lounge and Leicester Road Football Club, as well as the benefits of booking with a local Independent Travel Agent.”

LRFC Commercial Director, Paul Moss, added: “It’s great to be able to work with a leading household name like Jet2holidays and is a fantastic brand association for the club, but it really works for them too because of the valuable exposure they get on the first team shirts on a weekly basis all over the Midlands, plus in and around our purposebuilt stadium which even has the required ground grading criteria for the Football League.”

A spokesperson for the club said: “There’s never been a better time to sponsor Leicester Road FC and those who have not attended a match before will be pleasantly surprised at the level of football played in Midlands Football League 1 - enhanced by the club’s ground which is the second largest football stadium in the county; only Leicester City’s King Power Stadium holds more spectators on match days.

“It’s a great place to come and watch football and a proper sporting experience, plus LRFC play matches across Leicestershire, Warwickshire, Worces- tershire, Staffordshire, plus Birmingham and the Black Country for widespread exposure.”

Jet2holidays are bringing their All Stars Football Team to Leicester Road FC on Sunday 26th May – with all proceeds going to the Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Foundation at Leicester City Football Club.

There will be drinks and refreshments and attractions around the ground for all the family and the Charity Football Match will be the main event with a 3pm kick off.

Tickets are £6 per Adults and £2 per child and can be bought in advance by calling 07966 387243.
