Jade opens up her first studio in town
Opening came after winning top award at Manchester finals
A FREELANCE make-up artist from Hinckley has achieved her dream of opening her first studio – just two years after setting up her own business.
Jade Snelson-Eeley, owner of Fitface Make-up Artistry, has opened a studio off Southfield Road in the town, where she will be offering full make-up services for all occasions.
The 27-year-old opened the outlet just a week after she was named National Freelance Makeup Artist of the Year at the Official Make-up Awards in Manchester, securing the overall title for all of England, Scotland and Wales.
Jade said: “The past few weeks have been an absolute whirlwind – I’m still grinning from ear to ear.
“Fitface has gone from strength to strength in the last two years and to be recognised with a national award makes all the hard work worthwhile.
“And to now have my very own studio in the heart of Hinckley, where I grew up, is just a dream come true.”
Jade set up Fitface Make-up Artistry in April 2017, after training at The Central School of Make-up in Birmingham.
Prior to launching the business she worked for a global corporation selling IT software.
“I’ve always enjoyed working with people but I wanted to do something that was closer aligned with my own interests,” she said.
“I’ve always loved doing my own make-up and the art that goes into creating different looks, so I decided to take the plunge and give it a go.”
As well as working from her new Fitface Make-up Artistry studio in Hinckley, Jade also offers freelance mobile services across the Midlands and is often booked for bodybuilding shows, fashion catwalks and weddings.
She said: “No two days are ever the same in my job. That’s the beauty of this industry – every client is very individual so it’s about tailoring my work to suit them and their needs.
“I can’t imagine doing anything else now and I still have to pinch myself that I get to call this work.”
