Club motoring on thanks to new sponsor

BARWELL Cricket Club has welcomed Mill Street Motors as the club’s official senior shirt sponsor.

Under the three-year deal, Mill Street Motors will appear on Barwell Cricket Club’s senior playing shirts until 2021.

The new kit made its debut this season and has brought immediate good fortune as both sides sit second in their respective divisions. Both Saturday sides play in the Leicestershire and Rutland Cricket League, with the First XI in Division 3 and the Second XI in Division 7 West.

Barwell chairman Geoff Hines was delighted with the deal.

He said: “This is really good news for the club.

“I would like to thank Tim Watson for agreeing the new deal, which is an extension to Mill Street Motors’ support of Barwell CC, which has seen them advertising around the ground for a number of years.”

Mill Street Motors is an independent Ford specialist and leading used car dealer in Barwell who offer a wide range of used vehicles at competitive prices.

Barwell CC is enjoying a successful season as, in addition to their two Saturday sides, both their Thursday Night and Sunday sides perform well in their divisions. Combined with a thriving junior section, the club is enjoying a surge in popularity with largely home grown players filling its ranks.
