Limited edition Triumph on show
Star attraction at town gallery
A LIMITED edition motorbike has gone on display in the Atkins Gallery in Hinckley as part a Travels and Transport Exhibition.
The Triumph Thruxton TFC (Triumph Factory Custom) has been installed next to the Hansom Cab, celebrating Hinckley and the surrounding areas contribution to the development of vehicles through history.
The exhibition features work from 10-plus local artists on the theme of Travels and Transport with unique interpretations ranging from heritage vehicles, historical events to personal journeys.
Kindly loaned to the gallery by Triumph, the Thruxton TFC has a limited worldwide production run of just 750 and each motorcycle is individually numbered and supplied with unique premium badging.
This new vehicle is the first to be re-created by Triumph as a ‘factory custom’ – a legendary café racer, a lightweight, powerful motorcycle designed for speed and handling, for quick rides over short distances.
With the launch of the all-new exclusive TFC offer for 2019, Triumph delivers a landmark moment for British custom design, with an exclusive limited edition line-up of ultra-premium motorcycles.
Every TFC motorcycle will be built to embody the absolute pinna- cle in custom Triumph design, with a unique level of enhanced performance, technology, engineering, specification and exquisite finish.
In addition, Hinckley and District Museum have loaned their Midland Red collection featuring photographs and ephemera from this iconic local bus company.
Councillor Keith Nichols, Executive Member for Culture, Leisure, Tourism and Town Centres at the borough council said: “I am delighted that such an iconic motorcycle has been loaned to the gallery for this exhibition and alongside our other exhibitors highlights how Hinckley and the surrounding area have played a key role in the design, development and world transport.
“I hope that residents and visitors take the opportunity to visit the Gallery whilst this exhibition is on.”
The open exhibition - Travels and Transport is running until Friday 16 August 2019. The gallery is open Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm. manufacture of
