Wind in the Willows set to be performed at Bradgate
Morning and afternoon show will take place in ruins at park
BRADGATE PARK is to host performance of Wind in the WIllows this summer.
It will be performed outdoors in the ruins of Bradgate House.
Spring is in the air and Mole has found a wonderful new world. There’s boating with Ratty, a feast with Badger and high jinx on the open road with that reckless ruffian, Mr Toad. What more could friends wish for?
But after Toad’s latest escapade, can they join together and beat the wretched weasels?
Join Mole, Ratty and Badger on their mad-cap adventures in this heart-warming tale of friendship, mishap and mayhem in Quantum Theatre’s such firm brand new adaptation of Kenneth Grahamse’s family favourite.
The show is being performed by Quantum Theatre on August 9 at 11am and then at 2.30pm.
Organisers say allow time for your walk from either the Newtown Linford car park (0.7 miles through Little Matlock) or 1.2 miles from Hallgates via the Reservoir and (FREE to visit) Visitor Centre. There are signs guiding the route. Car parking is £3 for the day - so why not enjoy a full day at Bradgate?
The Ruins of Bradgate House will be opened one hour before the show so you can set up for picnics.
The area is grass but no benches so bring low back chairs, picnic rugs. Please be considerate about large umbrellas or tented covers/ windbreaks with regard to other visitors.
They have limited numbers to 300 (so the space has plenty of room).
There will be two port-aloos on site and an ice-cream bike.
The company will be using a sound system but it is live, outdoor and happens whatever the weather (except extreme lightning storms!) No refunds unless we cancel.
The show is two halves each about 40-45mins mins with a 20min interval.
See the Bradgate Park website for more details.
