We must free ourselves from Brussels

-

IT will be very demeaning to see our Government ministers possibly having to go to European leaders to gain permission to allow an extension in which to leave the EU club (made necessary by the rabble of disloyal and undemocratic MPs), a club which, at the time of joining, the UK population was unaware of the ultimate cost.

My father (in 1917) and brothers (in 1944) fought in two world wars, both started by Germany, to prevent them dominating Europe.

It is ironic therefore, that Germany is now the strongest nation in Europe economically, with power through Brussels to influence decisions which affect us and our borders.

They already control some of our best companies, have interest in our stock exchange and insurance, and now have two of the top food supermarket outlets in the UK (Lidl and

Aldi).

With our population and imports required to satisfy our needs, we should, if allowed by our undemocratic MPs, have a strong hand when dealing with EU negotiators.

After all, the Germans will still want to sell us their expensive hi-tech cars, the French, millions of bottles of their expensive champagne and the Spanish will still welcome our holidaymakers with open arms. We will also still be able to import containers full of fake goods from China!

We must free ourselves from the controlling influence of Brussels, otherwise the sacrifices made by our servicemen and women in two wars will have been for nothing.

We won’t be Great Britain any more, just Little Old England.
