The largest subscripti­on did not exceed £20.The design of the church included a tower, a baptistry and a south aisle, but the erection of these was left to a later date. Several portions of the old church have been taken down and transferre­d to the new. On the north side there is a handsome stained glass window dedicated to Mary Pickering, John Garner and William Flavell. The pulpit was given by the children of the Sunday School and cost £43.
