Barefoot Festival goes online... again!

-

ORGANISERS were delighted that the Barefoot Festival proved a big hit after the original live event was cancelled and an online version was held in its place.

And they were so impressed, they have decided to stage another one this year!

This time it will take place the weekend the real festival should have been happening – July 31 to August 1.

A spokesperson said: “We’ll be holding performances that will be suitable for your kitchen disco, back garden glamp-out and living-room live yoga!

“An online event in the true vibes and love of Barefoot Festival – we can’t get out but we can do the next best thing!

“Learn new skills, see beautiful things and create your own festival in your garden or festie tent in your living room! Wonderful prizes to be won, including tickets to next year’s actual real-life Barefoot Festival in 2021 and luxury glamping set-ups!

“We’ll be encouraging you to get into the festival spirit by dressing up, making cocktails and mocktails, getting yourself glammed up with glitter, wearing flower crowns and festival tails and sharing all of your best festie photos over the weekend.

“Let’s keep our community flowing, growing and sparkling! Share your videos and photos online and on our social media platforms – remember to post ‘#barefootfestival.’ Get involved with family and friends, following all the correct social distancing requirements, of course!

“Learn how to belly-dance, practise yoga with some amazing teachers and learn festival food recipes. There will be forest school activiites for the kids and arts and craft sessions, watch live musicians, show girls and magical perfomers in your own home!

“All of this is completely free but we will be sharing links along with the performances and activities and, if you can afford it, we’re asking for contributions.

“These will go directly to the artists. With all of the shows and festivals this year cancelled this year our artists and creatives are completely out of work.

“Tickets are only £10 for the entire weekend and tickets are free if you are a ticket holder for Barefoot Festival 2021. Consider it a reward for your loyalty!

“We are also offering a ticket option for donations to Barefoot Festival if you would like to support us in that way, its greatly appreciated.”
