Customers are being given bonus by email

LOYAL customers at Central England Co-operative Society are getting £1 off their shopping bill.

A total of 120,000 customers are receiving the surprise in their email inbox as a digital voucher, giving them £1 off when they spend £10 in store.

The group runs a shop on Boyslade Road in Burbage.

Support from regulars has allowed Central England Co-op to support 60 good causes with a share of a £50,000 pot through its Community Dividend Fund, and to deliver over 1,000 car packages to hospices, care homes and hospitals.

Sunni Stewart, store manager, said: “All of us at Central England Co-op want to say thank you to our customers for your loyalty, kindness and respect during these difficult times.

“We have been on hand throughout for your vital food and essentials and we have loved seeing you all when you visit us.

“By shopping local, you allow us to reinvest in our communities and continue to make a huge difference.

“To say thank you, 120,000 customers will be receiving a little treat from us in their email inbox and we cannot wait to see you all when you next visit your nearest store.

Members can collect points every time they spend in store to earn a share of profits.
