Wonders begins new era at city museum
Leicester has been fully revamped to include lots of additional buildings.
There are more than 30 buildings to see, from cities across all seven continents, built hundreds of years and thousands of miles apart.
They include the Colosseum in Rome, the Golden Temple of Amritsar, the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, the Empire State Building from New
York, Buckingham Palace in London, and the London 2012 Olympic Park.
The exhibition culminates with a magnificent 180,000-piece LEGO rendition of London St Pancras Station, the gateway to London for rail travellers from Leicester.
Of the exhibition, a city council spokesman said: “We wanted to offer our visitors something exciting to mark the reopening of our flagship museum, and this new and revamped version of Brick City definitely ticks that box.
“This stunning exhibition, featuring more than 30 iconic landmarks from around the world, is going to be a huge hit with LEGO fans.
“Unfortunately, the coronavirus restrictions mean we can only accommodate 200 people in the museum at any one time, so visitors do need to book their visits to avoid disappointment.
“The good news is that Brick City will be in Leicester until November, so there’s plenty of time to see it and enjoy it, even if you can’t get your free tickets immediately.”
Visits can be booked by calling the museum directly on 0116 225 4900 or online at:
