It is the virus that has killed 100,000 people

-

SIR Keir Starmer insists on telling us that he supports the government, before lurching into a tirade alleging that the government is failing to control the virus and then telling his MPs to abstain from voting for measures he says are not only essential, but (with hindsight) should have been brought in months ago? Now, all this chagrin is totally unnecessary, for all Sir Keir has to do is to tell us to look to Wales and see how the Labour administration is dealing with the virus in a much superior way? Ooooops; he can’t ; because they aren’t!

I was so saddened to learn that the virus had claimed more than 100,000 lives, but so angry when I heard Robert Peston say that, come an enquiry, Boris Johnson would be held to account for every one of these deaths.

No Mr. Peston, you irresponsible, headline grabbing purveyor of fake news, the Prime Minister, nor any first Minister, has killed anyone, it’s the virus!

Now, there will be an enquiry, but it must not be a platform for trial by media, nor to be hijacked by politicians/extremist groups as a cover to promulgate their ideology, as they tried to do with the Grenfell tragedy.

Taiwan have lost seven people (in total) to the virus, but how? Investigation has shown that the people did as they were told; the young respected their elders and authority; the media worked with and not against the government, and the politicians came together for the common good! We ought to try it sometime!
