Glad we can worship again together and enjoy sweet fellowship

-

GOD will always continue to move to fulfil His sovereign plan for His people.

Nothing in Heaven or Earth can stop the advancement of His kingdom. Things may change, people may change, science may continue to progress. Storms, pandemics and natural calamities may occur, but our God remains the same yesterday, today and forevermore.

The church must stand firm to continue to pursue God’s plan and purpose here on Earth as it is in Heaven.

As much as God is constant in His plan, we as His church must also remain faithful and not be distracted from what is happening in the world right now. Our mission still remains the same to proclaim and live the truth in Jesus’ name.

1 Corinthians 15:58 (NLT) says: “So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.”

We at Shield of Faith started to meet face-to-face when lockdown was lifted. Going back to face-to-face is amazing, to worship God together as one and being able to have fellowship to catch up with our brethren is motivating for us.

We believe that our God is unstoppable, so are we! We cannot allow ourselves to be limited or controlled by the current situation. We as a church, anointed in Christ, continue to go and spread the gospel to bring more souls into God’s kingdom.

The church is originally designed in the book of Acts as a physical church. Disciples of Christ meet together daily to grow, to share, strengthen one another and expand God’s kingdom.

Acts 2:42-47 says: “All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. They worshipped together at the temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity, all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.”

Psalm 145:1-6 says: “I will proclaim your greatness, my God and king; I will thank you forever and ever.

“Every day I will thank you; I will praise you forever and ever. The Lord is great and is to be highly praised; His greatness is beyond understanding.

“What you have done will be praised from one generation to the

next; they will proclaim your mighty acts. They will speak of your glory and majesty, and I will meditate on your wonderful deeds. People will speak of your mighty deeds, and I will proclaim your greatness.”

We meet on Sundays in The Meeting Rooms, Marchant Road, at 2.30pm (3pm for Sunday School) and Fridays at 6pm for Prayer and Intercession.
