Tool launched to tackle discrimination in NHS
MORE than 20,000 NHS staff are being offered an online space to report discrimination, bullying, harassment and victimisation in the workplace.
University Hospitals of Leicester and Leicestershire Partnership NHS trusts, plus Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland’s clinical commissioning groups, are working with technology developer Culture Shift.
Launching next month, the online platform will provide NHS staff with a safe space to disclose incidents – anonymously or not.
Jen Mulloy, equality and inclusion business partner at NHS Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit, said: “The Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Academy is pleased to be working with Culture Shift to launch the YourVoice report and support tool.
“The tool will enhance our existing approach to creating a safe workplace free from bullying, harassment and discrimination.
“This online platform will give our workforce a confidential, anonymous and convenient way to report their experiences in order for us to prevent and tackle discrimination, bullying, harassment and victimisation.
“The analytics part of the system will be fundamental in helping us identify trends and target interventions as well as providing robust information to support our current reporting systems.
“The platform also enables a fully integrated case management process.”
Gemma McCall, chief executive of Culture Shift, said: “We’re proud to be offering NHS staff access to anonymous reporting and helping to drive positive change.”
