Park is offering the right applicant a chance to work and explore the 1,200-acre beauty spot.
A learning and engagement manager position has been listed on Bradgate Park Trust’s website, which will see someone become a core member of the team.
The role will see them interacting with visitors to provide a high-quality experience when they visit Bradgate Park and Swithland Woods.
The successful applicant will be working alongside other staff members at the trust to ensure the 750,000 visitors who make their way to the park each year have an engaging and educational time.
The job listing reads: “The learning and engagement manager post will sit within the trust’s management team and work closely alongside other posts to develop our visitor offer.
“With 1,200 acres of incredible green space, a visitor centre, amazing ruins and monuments, a cafe and ranger and volunteer teams on site, we are looking for a motivated, innovative individual who can develop our offer.
“You’ll need to consider the development of the site for visitors, family and lifelong learning and events and activities to ensure the park offers something for everyone.”
The role is 37 hours a week, which is flexible subject to discussion with the right candidate, and has a starting salary of £26,538 a year, rising up to £27,972. Desirable characteristics are a degree-level qualification in a related field for the role, such as natBRADGATE
ural environment, heritage, culturebased subjects, or in an audiencefocused subject such as tourism or hospitality.
However, the only essential knowledge is of visitor engagement techniques.
The applicant will also be required to have a proven track record of delivering a variety of events and activities, experience of delivering public engagement and customer-facing activities, such as outdoor education or lifelong learning programmes, and experience of creating meaningful and relevant web and social media content to engage audiences.
Other requirements include needing excellent verbal and written communication, including presentation skills, a proactive approach to work and strong time and project management skills.
