Stop offloading on to the taxpayers
Marcus Rashford, mobilised and weaponised his celebrity social media platform to support Sir Keir Starmer’s demand for an increase in benefits to unmarried single parents and to expand the food bank scheme.
But like all celebrities he was high on showmanship, but had no substance to his case whatsoever? Why get on your high horse, and then gallop off down the low road? There were no proposals to try to end this poverty and bring independence to peoples lives, just measures to sustain it and prolong it. There was no mention of any underlying cause, nor the “elephant” in the room? But, for once, Sir Keir, has costed his proposal, and has found the money to finance more benefits by proposing to scrap the “marriage tax allowance”, once he gets into office. Yet another left wing assault on values we should be advocating and supporting.
The question is, why, when we live in an age of abundant birth control clinics, giving away free contraception, do we have the charade of young women, some with multiple children, by multiple fathers, complaining that the government (read taxpayer) is not giving them enough money to feed their children? Where are the fathers?
So, married couples are to be penalised, and probably forced into benefit dependency, while people who have shown no responsibility, and believe the world owes them a living to carry on in their selfish ways must be rewarded? I know, for a fact, from a former life, that (some) social workers, would encourage young vulnerable girls to get pregnant, and they would then get them a council flat furnished, and benefits which would then make a “problem” family case file go away.
We don’t want an expansion of food banks, we want a society that has no need of them. And we need to tackle the minority and curb their ways, for the benefit of the children, who are born into an unacceptable lifestyle.
So, come on you left wingers, stop offloading onto the taxpayer with measures that follow your agenda of dependency on the state, with gerrymandering policies, and projecting yourselves as the pinnacle of puritanism, and start helping these vulnerable people, and stop using them as human shields for your own imagery. We then really could afford to help those really in need, who tend to take a low profile, and suffer in the silence of the lambs.
