Five star display sees win run extend to
NEIL LYNE welcomed back Sam Munton and Jordan Burrows to todays squad but was without Jack Harrison, Jo Lyne and Tom Smith for the first ever visit of Northampton O.N. Chenecks to Leicester Road Stadium.
Hinckley went straight on the offensive from the kick-off maintaining possession and dominating the middle of the park. The deadlock was broken after eight minutes when Jake Brown pounced on a through ball and fired across the keeper who’s one handed save couldn’t keep the ball out.
Chenecks albeit busy were finding it difficult to find their rhythm and found all their advances thwarted by the resilient Hinckley defensive unit.
Hinckley increased their lead on 23 minutes when Jake Brown’s pace forced him into an advanced position which allowed him to pull his cross back from the goal line for Matty Langham who with his back to goal turned and eloquently placed the ball into the corner of the net to make it 2-0.
The one way traffic continued and Hinckley went further ahead after 30 minutes when Matty Langham grabbed his second after he was put through and fired home through the Chenecks goalkeepers legs to make it 3-0.
Hinckley continued pressing for the rest of the half but couldn’t find another goal.
They started the second half just as they finished the first, in total control of the game and very much camped in the Chenecks half.
Neil Lyne introduced Jack Beasley to replace Nathan Astill after 58 minutes.
Two minutes later Matty Langham made it a hat-trick with his third and doubled it up to celebrate the birth of his son after 60 minutes to put Hinckley 4-0 up.
Hinckley continued to press and two minutes later Lewis Jones made it 5-0 after good work by Liam Read and Jake Brown as the side eased to their 14th league win in a row.
