Work gets under way on £7.7 million care home
WORK is under way on a 67-bed care home in Hinckley.
Care Build Group has broken ground on the £7.7 million development, on the site of the former Clarendon Club, in Coventry Road.
Due to open in June next year, the three-storey care home will boast library, cinema, pub and a hairdressing salon, as well as a communal garden.
Behind the site is the Sweat Pea
Bowling Club, with the club to get a new pavilion as part of the development.
The home will be designed with dementia-friendly acoustics.
Jay Patel, of Acacia Care, said: “Acacia see this endeavour as a natural partnership and look forward to operating a sister home to Kingsfield Court, in neighbouring Earl Shilton.
“The location in Hinckley provides ideal partnership opportunities for both homes to build strong community links in the area and to offer our residents a wide range of lifestyle opportunities with the location of the bowls club being a fantastic community facility on our doorstep.
“We also look forward to working with the bowls club to support their future plans”
Ashley Cooper, director of Care Build Group, said: “We are delighted to have commenced on site for this exciting new care home. It’s been a great team effort in procuring this bespoke home for our client whilst still giving them the flexibility of being able to have full control of the design process – building the right home for their needs.
“This care home is the first of many in the Care Build Group portfolio – with other schemes set to commence this year and early into next. “We are looking forward to handing over the keys to this scheme in spring next year.”
