The Al­li­son V-1710 12-cylin­der liq­uid-cooled en­gine pro­duced 1,350 horse­power and a max­i­mum speed of 378 miles per hour. The V-1710 was the only en­gine of its kind pro­duced in the United States dur­ing World War II.
