If your Gran’s dated kitchen ooring is what springs to mind when you think of vinyl oor coverings, then prepare to be impressed! Luxury Vinyl Tiles, or LVT, are nothing like the ooring your Nan used to have. In some cases LVT is an option that you can lay yourself, plus it’s a great choice to use with under oor heating – keeping your interior sleek and fuss free. This oor covering is extremely hard-wearing, but warm and comfortable under foot too. So what are you waiting for?

When washing wood, laminates, tiles or LVT, it’s important to know if your oor has been sealed or not. Unsealed oors don’t tend to withstand moisture or overwetting, which leads to the adhesives failing.
Most hard oors are sealed and can withstand more e ective cleaning with hard oor cleaners, such as the VAX Glide. This not only vacuums, but uses fresh water and solution to wash and kill 99.9 per cent of bacteria, and leaves oors almost instantly dry.’ Graham Curtis, VAX Head of Product Management

What’s the di erence between regular, sheet vinyl and LVT?
“LVT is much thicker than regular vinyl. Vinyl often comes as a sheet, whereas Amtico’s LVT is manufactured by compressing several layers, which makes it a much more hardwearing and durable product. LVT also replicates the textures, grains, embosses and swirls of natural materials far more realistically, truly combining the appeal of wood and stone with practicality.”
Can you t LVT yourself?
“We don’t recommend trying to t Amtico oors yourself, unless you’re a professional. For DIY-enthusiasts, there are, however, options available on the market.
