oth the Conservative B and Labour parties used their conferences to address housing, with party leaders Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn setting out plans to meet housing targets.

Jeremy Corbyn used his keynote speech to announce his party’s intentions to tax undeveloped land held by developers and exercise the option for compulsory purchase on such land.

Theresa May responded by stating a commitment to “a new generation of council homes” in her conference speech, earmarking a further £2bn for social housing and committing more funding for the Right to Buy scheme.
