THE OWNER Helen Bromovsky is a designer and creator of The Ottoman Collection, an exotic fashion range inspired by her travels in Turkey and central Europe. She lives with her three daughters, Anastazia, 25, an art consultant who works with her, Bella, 23, who studies at The Eden Project and Kitty, 21, who is at The Central School of Speech and Drama. The family also has a Blue Whippet called Tolstoy and a Siamese cat called Schubert.

THE PROPERTY The two- storey, nine-bedroom house lies on Somerset’s border with Devon and is what Helen calls a ‘hotchpotch’ – a grand Regency facade built onto a medieval base with a Victorian kitchen. It also has a large entrance hall, drawing room and dining room.
