A personal approach
Marking the 50th anniversary of the Sexual Offences Act, where private homosexual acts between men were decriminalised in England, Tate Britain is presenting its rst exhibition dedicated to work relating to the LGBTQ community. Spanning works from 1861–1967, Queer British Art explores how artists chose to express themselves in a time where opinions on relationships and sexuality were being questioned and explored. See paintings, drawings and photographs from pioneers such as David Hockney, Duncan Grant and John Singer Sargent. * Until 1st October.
