LET’S CELEBRATE!

-

W elcome to this very special issue of H&A. We’re thrilled that you can join us in celebrating our 300th edition. We wanted to make this a memorable one, so we have lots of treats in store – from our party shoot showcasing three decades of decadent style (p48) to our feature recalling the most seminal auction sales since the magazine launched (p114). Also, pop a cork with us as we look back on the sparkling history of champagne (p124).

So much has changed in the 24 years since our first issue, from what we choose to live with in our homes (p56–p89) to how we source those items. But we like to think that H&A o ers a constant. An early cover in 1993 promised that the magazine would be ‘blending the best of old and new’, and that is still what we strive to do today. We’ve never lived in a more eclectic way, mixing styles and eras of design in our homes to make them personal and unique, and H&A still prides itself on o ering inspiration along with exclusive expert advice.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank our many subscribers for your loyalty, together with our long-standing experts and contributors. And I hope that all of our readers find this issue to be a vintage one. PS Be a part of our 300th-issue celebrations by including the hashtag #HA300 on your social-media posts. We’d love to hear from you!
