24 BLUE JOHN URN, 18 CENTURY SOLD: £21,000

Derbyshire is the only British source of the semi-precious mineral Blue John, mined and made into ornaments in past centuries. The Blue John sale at Fellows in 2015 included a late 18thcentury ormolu-mounted urn from the collection of the Ollerenshaw family, owners of Blue John Cavern.
