Station to station
I inherited three Japanese paintings from my parents. My grandma had bought them in the 1920s from a house sale in Berkshire. I am not sure if they are painted on silk or woodblock prints. I discovered on the internet that they are from a series of paintings called The Fifty- three Stations of the Tokaido by Utagawa Hiroshige. I have been subscribing to your magazine for years and I remember seeing some similar paintings in one of your feature homes around the late 1990s. I wondered if any of your experts could tell me any more about them? LISA PAGAN, DERBYSHIRE
