Victor Pasmore Gallery (victorpasmoregallery.com) The gallery rst opened its doors to the public in 2014 and is dedicated to the life and work of Victor Pasmore, one of the leading artists of the post-war British modern art movement. Pasmore lived and worked in Malta, on and off from his rst, chance visit in 1966 until his death in 1998. By the early Sixties, Pasmore had established an international reputation as an abstract artist and art educator and his work is represented in major museums, galleries and collections around the world, including the Tate Britain and Tate Modern, the Marlborough Gallery in London, and the MoMA in New York. In Malta, his legacy lives on in the collection held at the Victor Pasmore Gallery in Valletta, which is managed by Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti in collaboration with the Central Bank of Malta. Some of his work is also on display at The Mill in Birkirkara (gabrielcaruanafoundation.com), Spazju Kreattiv in Valletta (kreattivita.org), and in the national collection of MUZA (muza. heritagemalta.org).
