The imag­i­na­tion of Piero For­nasetti knew no bounds, and prices for his orig­i­nal de­signs of­ten soar at auc­tion. 9th Oc­to­ber 2018 marks 30 years since his death.

22nd Oc­to­ber 1906 marked the death of French artist Paul Cézanne. With a ham­mer price of $274m, The Card Play­ers is one of the world’s most ex­pen­sive paint­ings.

On 10th Oc­to­ber 1903, Em­me­line Pankhurst formed the Women’s So­cial and Po­lit­i­cal Union from her fam­ily home. From 1906, they were termed Suf­fragettes.
