The Walpole Cabinet of miniatures and enamels, designed by Horace Walpole, perhaps in combinatio­n with William Kent. It’s thought to have been made by William Hallett with carving by James Verskovis and Giovanni Battista Pozzo and anonymous hands in 1743, using padouk veneer, set with carved ivories; portrait miniature of an unknown woman (formally Frances Howard, Countess of Somerset) by Isaac Oliver (1596-1600), c1595, watercolou­r on vellum; jug (crystal tankard and cover). London hallmarks for 1557-8.
