These elegant goblets by the French glassmaker René Lalique were originally sold in sets of six and would have nestled in

a presentation box. The goblet design, introduced in 1911, was called ‘Six Figurines’ because of the six gural panels on the sides of each vessel. The 10cmtall glasses are press-moulded, frosted and polished, then stained pink. The design rarely comes up at auction, but this pre-war pair was consigned to Bonhams by a private collector. 020 7447 7447; bonhams.com
