Can you identify the mystery homeowner?

A life in colour

?? ?? It was in 1883 that a prominent artistic figure first made this French country house their beloved home, adapting it over the following decades to fulfil their great professional and familial needs. The house was enlarged to accommodate a substantial family, and a barn next door converted into a studio, although this isn’t where our homeowner is known for creating their influential works. The bright interiors reveal a passion for colour, although it’s what lies through the window that really gives the game away as to who lived here.
