Nils Strinning’s shelving system String, designed in 1949, is a 20th-century icon, with its simple good looks and eminent practicality the reasons for its impressive longevity. His String Plex design (left) is an excellent solution for bathroom storage woes and it has now been released to the UK, with prices starting at £179 for two brackets and two 20cm shelves.
