ON THE TILES
Slender brick-shaped tiles are a fresh variation of the metro and a great way to add colour and pattern. Made in Italy, the Mazzani Leaf from Claybrook Studio has a soft matt glaze with a texture that’s pleasing to touch. The tiles, which are available in six earthy tones, can be stacked vertically, as a classic horizontal brick or a timeless herringbone design. Mazzani Leaf tile, L25xw8cm, £68.80sq m, Claybrook Studio

The stand has elegant tapering legs in nine finishes, from nickel to antique bronze, and is shown here in brushed brass paired with smart Leawood taps.
