Poldark stars again
THE previous day’s 11 packs of beagles and four of harriers were judged simultaneously in separate rings. Frank Houghton Brown and Nigel Bell MH (Severn Vale) sorted out the beagle dogs in the morning. The newly amalgamated Holme and Colne Valley won the first class with Craftsman, much to the delight of the beagle committee chairman and former Holme Valley master, John Haigh.
The Christchurch and Farley Hill (CH&FH) won the Douglas Leslie Memorial Trophy for the best unentered dog with Pageant, leaving Toby Pedley and the Ampleforth to fill second and third places with litter brothers, Farrier and Falcon.
