Team Hayler reunited

-

INTERNATIONAL grand prix rider Bobby Hayler has returned home to her family’s Essex base after spending a year training in Germany with Arnd Erben.

“I had the most amazing time and am very grateful, but I’m excited to come home and work with Dad and the rest of Team Hayler, and to get out and compete more,” said 25-year-old Bobby, whose father Paul has successfully campaigned her horses, including her grand prix ride Aldborough Rubenhall, in 2017.

“My time in Germany has taught me to look differently at my career and the future, about seeing the bigger picture and focusing on training the horse,” added Bobby, who rode between 10 and 12 horses a day, from prix st georges up to grand prix, while at Arnd’s.

“I think it’s important for younger riders to fly the nest a bit; experience a different yard, language and culture.”
