KING KODA
WHEN Sara Cork’s eyecatching coloured part-bred King Koda was diagnosed with quittor this summer, the vet said most horses with this infection of the collateral cartilages in the hoof would have to be put down.
However, after spending some quality time in the field with his companion pony Dinky, Koda recovered and is now flying with the intermediate victors Eternal Optimists.
“He always seems to bounce back from injury, so I hoped he’d pull through,” said Sara. “He really wanted to go past Simon Coady’s horse today, but I held him back as I didn’t want to get shouted at.”
