MULES

Wallace The Great’s stand on mule rights (right) has opened up all sorts of other issues. With recent discussion over BD clothing rules, and mules now being allowed, a rider queried whether the footwear of the same name would also be permitted in the ring. Not sure that’s in FEI rules, tbh.

IDENTIFICATION

The owner of a bay and a grey was disconcerted by the sight of two greys in her field. Cue much colourful language and huffing about fly-grazers, after which she realised one “grey” was the bay in a fly rug. Oops…

PETROL STATIONS

A showjumper was surprised to be asked by a garage attendant what he was doing out at 3.30am… but possibly not as surprised as the attendant was by his answer, which was, airily: “Oh, just delivering some chilled semen.” Nothing strange about that, surely…?
