Retired Olympic eventer turned racehorse trainer Mark Todd celebrated his first UK winner on the track with Petit Bay. The four-year-old won at Leicester on 30 June under Jack Mitchell.

United States Equestrian’s board of directors elected Tom O’Mara as the new president for the 2021 to 2025 term. Mr O’Mara, the current secretary and treasurer, replaces Murray Kessler.

Eventer Willa Newton has injured her pelvis in a cross-country schooling fall. Willa, who has returned home from hospital, said she plans to be “back in action” as soon as she can.

Flat jockey Hollie Doyle notched up four wins and two seconds at Wolverhamp­ton on 2 July. Hollie said it was “great to bag four winners” and thanked all of the horses’ connection­s.

Cotswold Farm Park, home to rare breeds including Suffolk horses, welcomed the Prince of Wales ahead of its reopening on 4 July. Prince Charles visited to discuss rare breeds conservati­on.
