AACHEN SHOW GOES VIRTUAL

A VIRTUAL CHIO Aachen will run after the real event was cancelled.

The event (4–9 August) will feature a simulated eventing legends competition, dressage and showjumping challenges involving top riders, a mobile phone game, and highlights of previous competitions.

Data analysts EquiRatings and SAP predictive analytics are working on the virtual eventing, involving 20 combinations who finished in the top five at CHIO Aachen in previous years along with wild card entries, as their data is used to determine what might have happened had the combinations met in competition.
