Prep in advance and have jugs of a summer cocktail ready. Put out garnishes including cucumber, mint, berries, lemons and limes that guests can add to their own drink. Fruit and herb infused water is a delicious, and healthy non-alcoholic alternative. Try fresh fruit with refreshing mint or coriander.
Make simple table setting decorations. Cover pine cones with white spray paint, allow to dry overnight and scatter across the table.
White card name tags written in gold pen add a personal touch.
Offer young children party bags containing fun things they can play with during the celebration. Ideas include a plastic magnifying glass, notebook, a pencil, insect images and stickers, washi tape, gummy snakes and an apple.
