1 ON THE EDGE
Yellow and blue is a classic combination. For a bold take use different shades of blue on adjacent walls and doors and paint skirting and door architraves in a sunny yellow. 2 BELOW THE LINE
The traditional dado rail is given a contemporary update with a strong black painted stripe dividing up the wall area. Paint the lower section in a cool denim blue and the top in a soft off-white, for a graphic, almost modernist effect. This is an easy way to add interest and looks amazing in new-build homes with their perfectly straight walls and windows.
