The popular presenter of BBC’s Gardeners’ World is also an RHS Ambassador for Education and Community Gardens, and the founder of the Adam Frost Garden School at his home in Lincolnshire.

Thanks to its balmy subtropical climate, Madeira is home to many of the world’s most beautiful gardens. Rising from the ocean floor 600 miles southwest of Lisbon, it captures the hearts of all who visit and was recently named Europe’s Best Island Destination 2019 at the prestigious World Travel Awards.

Blessed with fertile volcanic soil, the island is a plant-lover’s delight, with a great diversity of species, from imported purpleblossomed jacaranda trees, orchids and bird of paradise plants to its UNESCO-listed native laurel forest.

On this exclusive eight-day holiday, you will visit Madeira’s best gardens including Quinta do Lago and the Monte Palace Tropical Garden, in the company of Adam Frost. You will also attend an exclusive evening talk about his life and career, including presenting Gardeners’ World, and afterwards there will be a private question-and-answer session. This trip will be based at the four-star Enotel Quinta do Sol in Funchal, which is also known as ‘Little Lisbon’. Situated in a great natural amphitheatre, facing the blue Atlantic and with a backdrop of dramatic mountains, it is the island’s largest city.
