KITCHEN INSPIRATION
Expert advice on how to plan your space, from creating moodboards to getting the right lighting
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Before looking at brochures and ordering that tap you’ve always wanted, it can help to spend some time focusing on what you hope to achieve:
First, think about how you use your kitchen. Is it solely for cooking, l or for dining and relaxing, or perhaps even for working from home?
Find inspiring images that evoke the atmosphere you want to create l – for example, sleek and streamlined or warm and cosy.
Take time to consider your options. Play around with moodboards l (see page 26), samples and online visual design tools to get a feel for what you truly love. This will give you the opportunity to try out different looks, refine your style and avoid costly mistakes.
Refreshing your kitchen doesn’t have to mean major renovations – l simply using a new paint colour or taking a fresh approach to lighting can transform a dated kitchen. See advice from our experts overleaf.
