How does a Jet Ski work?
Jet Skis are driven by a pump-jet – basically a pipe containing a propeller driven by a motor. The pump-jet sucks water from underneath the Jet Ski and squirts it out of a nozzle at the back as a high-speed jet of water that pushes the Jet Ski forwards at speeds of up to 130 kilometres per hour. For steering, the driver changes the direction of the pump jet in order to push the vehicle in a different direction.
