Reservoir fly-tipping can be blamed on council

-

I’VE just completed my morning lap of Digley Reservoir with my dogs and lo and behold the flytippers have struck once again, leaving a substantial amount of garden waste on the north car park.

This is not an isolated occurrence – it was carpets last time. The area Peak Park Ranger happened to be passing as I walked back to my car and he told me that he had already cleared the mess and was on his way to clear up another mess at Holme Moss car park.

The increased occurrence of this type of behaviour can be laid firmly on the doorstep of Kirklees Council and their introduction of the permit system to dispose of waste sensibly.

When will those who run the council come to accept that they should be encouraging people to use the correct facilities instead of placing obstacles in people’s way?

DO you think the powers-that-be have seen the local plan with all the proposed new houses?

Do you think the powers-thatbe have seen the programme on television about the amount of patients who are fit to leave hospital but have to stay because care packages are not in place or there are no places in a care home?

Do you think the powers-thatbe should order bunk bends for our proposed new 120-bed hospital?

Those ready for discharge could be transferred to the upper
